The brutal massacre (Nov. 19, 1781) by the Tory Bloody Bill Cunningham will be discussed. Eighteen of Laurens County’s finest men were killed or ordered killed at Hayes Station by Cunningham after they surrendered. Seventy-six Patriots throughout South Carolina perished because of Cunningham‘s rampage
